There is no way to lock the Camera Roll. You can, of course, lock the entire iPhone with a passcode.

I've had the EXACT same issue with wanting to secure the Camera Roll in instances where someone might want to use my phone. I DO NOT want to save sensitive pictures anywhere other than the phone itself.

I've moved them to a new folder to keep them together, but even that folder has no restrictions nor does the Camera Roll, which contains ALL PICS from ALL FOLDERS. This is troubling to me and the way that "i" prefer to use my phone.

PLEASE DONT TELL ME AGAIN LIKE YOU DID THIS FELLA WHI INITIALLY ASKED...to lock or change the password, that answer is insulting to say the least, it is NOT ACCEPTABLE that we DO NOT have more flexibility or customization capability.. such as; Apple's insistence for making text and backgrounds eye straining white.. every **** thing is white...and inverted color is no good to view some websites and photos. It is my belief that Apple could do much better; I've used Apple products for years...back when everyone criticized them for being less than Microsoft PCs, which I knew to be false.

Now everyone is an Apple expert, but excuse me for being an avid fan longer than ANYONE I know.

I just wish that Apple would be more open to customizable options on both their phone software and Mac software.

Thank You,

The End.

Hey, if you want to lock photos from Camera Roll, there are some 3rd party photo apps that do this.

I use an app called "Camera Plus Pro" which provides a Private folder for locking photos with a password.

Camera Plus Pro has its own personalized library which stores captured photos. You can also import Camera Roll photos into it.

Hence, in your case, you will have to import all your personal photos from Camera Roll to the app library and lock them into a Private folder.

Remember: You will have to remember or email the password that you set for the Private folder. Otherwise, even you wont be able to unlock it, in case you forget it.
