I have purchased a mac book pro 4 months ago...recently I found it very slow...I mean the start up and shut down time is large...Again it takes a lot more time in opening and closing an application...any solution

SafeBoot will deletes the dynamic-loader shared cache and among other things. Reboot after you log in
Yes reboot doesnt help...
Can you please explain what exactly Safeboot is?
Clears dynamic loader shared cache, font cache among others things.
Once it has fully booted successfully you can restart as normal. The first restart takes noticeably longer as cache files rebuild.
