I have a BMW 2004 545i and was wondering if my iPod 3rd Generation's bluetooth work with my cars bluetooth system. I've tryed to pair the iPod but it does not connect with the car, other phones are able to connect to my car but I would like to have my iPod stream music into my cars audio sytem.

Does the car system support the BT profiles on the 3G iPod? See:

Only the 4G and later support the Hands Free profile (HFP) while all phones do.

My car suports BT profiles but if I use an Android phone on it it works prefectly but the iPod just does not find the car. Now I can connect my iPod to my ither Android phone but not the car which I find weird. What would I have to do for it to work.
But which BT profiles does the car support? The 3G iPod does not suuport the Hand Free profile.
It supports A2DP so it is supposed to be able to stream music to it just like if it was a pair of Headphones.
Did yo try:
- On the iPod Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings. You will also have to rejoin all wifi network
- Reset the car system
And they again.,
Will try today, I will get back to you on the results.
It did not work so I just give up, I will just buy an adapter for the iPod.
