Actually I was trying to determine whether he meant the ear speaker, or the bottom speaker.

So the right hand side is not producing any audio?

so your phone cant play music for example?

Is your Volume Slider Bar still present at the bottom of the Music app when playing - or do you have no option to change the volume?

Without inspection - I would say it is probable that your dock connection is damaged in some way, inspect for physical damage or signs of corrosion (normally a bluish-green colored build-up).

Either way, your handset is going to need to be serviced to rectify the issue.

I would recommend booking a reservation to see your nearest Genius at an Apple Retail Store if possible.

Note: If no volume slider bar is present, replacing the speaker unit WILL NOT resolve the issue.
