home sharing dramas

my home sharing does not seem to stay connected from my PC, i leave it on, have disabled sleep/standby mode on both tv and pc but still only lasts abouyt 40 miuntes nd i have to turn off and turn on again and re enter all the info, its getting annoying

This problem appears to be linked to the Windows version of iTunes. This problem never occurs if the library is shared by iTunes on a Mac but always occurs sooner or later if I access a library from iTunes on Windows (7 or 8, have not tried Vista or XP).
