They do not repair, they replace. It will cost approximately US$250 to US300

If you bought AppleCare plus when you bought your iPad you can get a replacement for a $49 fee. If you bought only AppleCare or stayed with the standard warranty when you bought your iPad then you will have to pay the out of warranty fee described in the previous post.

What a bummer!! Sorry to hear about your broken ipad. Ya like everyone else apple is not going to fix it for free not just replace the screen. They will just swap it out for a refurbished ipad. So like the other guys said its going to cost you almost the full price of what you just paid for you ipad.

I hope I can shed some good light on you, I just got my sons ipad repaired from this business called i99Repair they did an great job repairing my sons ipad 2 and only charged me $79!

Not sure what you have ipad 3 or 4 but they got some good prices on their site.

Just thought I would let you know.

Some one gave me a link to their ipad handbook and they said they replace it for free if it was my first time repairing a cracked screen PLEASE REPLY ASAP

It was disapointing to note that apple does not provide the replacement of the glass broken in warrenty period, even if it is due to weather conditions ( expansion and contraction). I read some of the folks who have posted their comments had similar issues like the one I had. It is still a mistery that my Ipad developed a bunch of small cracks in one of the corners and within few minutes developed multiple cracks eventhough it was not dropped or dented. Still the warrantly is not any good with apple. They said warrenty does not cover these type of issues. I guess if there is a proven theory that glass may break due to weather conditions, I strongly feel that warranty should well be covered for these type of defects. Again, to deal with apple support outside US is a unpleasant experience. I am sure, those who are from India would agree with me. Specially those who have apple products in india ( in chennai) specifically are in the mercy of the only apple re-seller ( the only place whecalled Data logics. and they repair apple products) who are absolutely ruthless and dealing with customers with " don't care attitude" and deos not have any knowledge of " customer service". I had to fight and spend atleast a week's time to get my ear phones replaced after calling singpore from chennai ( certainly not worth the time for the money involved) . For a company like apple, that too when they are selling their apple products plenty in INDIA, there is no apple store..Not sure why ? Does apple think India is not worth having an apple store?. Again, to make my point short, I am not pleased with support given for these kind of issues.
