I want to delete photos from my iPad . But the help page does not help. When I click devices a photo pop up option does not appear

Are these Photos that are in your camera roll or photos in an album or synced up from iTunes?
Otherwise it's Photos> Edit> Tap photo > Delete

The instructions in HT4236 are as follows:
To delete synced photos and videos
No where does it say anything about a "photo pop up option". When you click on your device icon a panel with many tabs appears. One of these tabs is "Photos". You are supposed to click on the "Photos" tab.
Sorry but I meant no tab with a photo option appears at all , not photo tab or anything relating to photos whatsoever

If you sync your device to your itunes with all the photo boxes unchecked, then it will delete all the iTunes derived photos from your device.

What tabs do you see? They should be: Summary, Info, Apps, Music, Movies, TV Shows, Podcasts, Books, Photos.
Since Photos is last do you have to scroll your screen to see it?
I can see music films tv programmes books apps and home sharing there is no scroll down for any more . Then after reading the help page I went into file devices and in that menus it says sync, transfer purchases, back up and restore from backup. When plugged into my iPad it says sync Pauline's iPad, transfer purchases from Pauline's iPad, back up restore from backup,with no scroll down options. I have even reinstalled iTunes in case there was a problem there
What iTunes level are you using on your computer?

This is what you should see.... a Photos tab across the top is for your device. The vertical sidebar are the libraries.
The Help file is talking about "Devices" in the sidebar not in the File menu. In iTunes 11 the sidebar is hidden by default. Go to the View menu and choose "Show sidebar". That will give you the "Devices" you need to click.
I don't see this
With your iPad hooked up open iPhoto on your computer.
I don't know what level it is but I just downloaded it again today and
chose the repair option

Certainly we are talking about iTunes here and deleteing album photos on an iPad. 😉
