Speedbit spyware. What now?

Recently I did something stupid. I installed Speedbit Video Accelerator:

In the hope that it would actually work. It installs a driver / .kext file called VADriver.kext

It did not work as planned, even though downloaders like Jdownloader does download youtube files faster, because of pipelining/multiple connections. That's why I falled for it.

Trying to delete the program I used the included uninstaller, that even their FAQ refers to. This did nothing but crash my mac, telling me that the VADriver.kext had some kernel errors or the like. Even booting up in failsafe and trying to run the uninstaller, crashed my mac.

I tried reinstalling Speedbit Video Accelerator, run the uninstaller again. Same thing.

At last i used terminal:

sudo kextunload /System/Library/Extensions/VADriver.kext

Deleted the file. This caused my mac to crash again, but upon booting, the file was gone, as was the program. I used AppCleaner and Finder to remove the rest of the software such as prefpane and the App itself.

Now however, I'm worried I'm still not infected with some kind of tracker. And I was wondering what my options were? I ran ClamXav which I got from the Apple App Store, it only found a tracking cookie. On my Windows machine I had the opportunity to run HiJackThis and see if there was still something nasty running, and I could post the log online. Is there any other methods to securing my mac?
