Macbook (white) Tiger Upgrade or Sell?

Hello.

I've been trailing through posts and threads on here and other forums all morning.

All i seem to be able to find is a bunch of know-it-alls who disagree with each other... (so one of them is clearly not that much of a know-it-all) haha.

I have an old(ish) Macbook, (white one) (possibly 2006/2007) that has Tiger on it. Its never been upgraded.

I have been using it years and years. Its beggining to slow down now 😟

Putting cost aside for a second, am i right in thinking that you can upgrade to Snow Leapard from Tiger, then from SL to Mountain Lion? (skipping Leapard and Lion).

Assuming the Macbook is capable of supporting Mountian Lion... (which i doubt).

Is it worth upgrading? Or should i sell it as it is? (i have the box etc all mint).

Thanks guys and girls.

MacBook, Mac OS X (10.4.11)

Whether to sell or upgrade is your call, but:

Start by checking if you can run Snow Leopard:

Requirements for OS X 10.6 'Snow Leopard'

http://support.apple.com/kb/SP575

OS 10.6 Snow Leopard is once again available for $19.99 from the Apple Store:

http://store.apple.com/us/product/MC573/mac-os-x-106-snow-leopard

and in the UK:

http://store.apple.com/uk/product/MC573/mac-os-x-106-snow-leopard

but nobody knows for how long it will be available.

When you have installed it, run Software Update to download and install the latest updates for Snow Leopard.

To use iCloud you have to upgrade at least to Lion, but some functions are only available in Mountain Lion:

You can also purchase the code to use to download Lion (Lion requires an Intel-based Mac with a Core 2 Duo, i3, i5, i7 or Xeon processor and 2GB of RAM, running the latest version of Snow Leopard), or you can purchase Mountain Lion from the App Store - if you can run that:
