Why do I suddenly have to force eject a cd/dvd from my iMac since I installed Mountain Lion? They eject OK if I force them to but they will not eject if I use the keyboard, the finder or the mouse to eject them.
iMac, Mac OS X (10.7.2)
Open Console in Utilities & see if there are any clues or repeating messages when trying to eject them.
Bootup holding CMD+r, or the Option/alt key to boot from the Restore partition & use Disk Utility from there to Repair the Disk, then Repair Permissions.
Any change?
Zap the PRAM and Reset the SMC, then try again.
Did all that. The CDs/DVDs eject with the keypboard rjrction key but not with the mouse. The disk repair said it looks like the Bolumn is OK and Permission repair only repaired two, both the ones it repaiored ealier today. Glad the About This Mac is right because I don't really want to get into that issue, if ya know what I mean.....Tnaks for all the help, now we will srere what developes I guess.
