In windows 8, itunes does not recognize ipod touch

I've recently upgraded my laptop to win 8.

everything worked fine on win 7, while now iTunes keep telling me error 0xE8000012

anyone knows how to fix this? thank you very much!!

yeah, thanks....no sign of 0xE8000012 error on that page...
