The new iCal does not show a source panel on the left side. ICal 4 did; but iCal 5 does not. The different calendar groups are only visible from a pull-down menu. Basicly, I want the different calendar layers to stay visible all the time on a left hand column, similar to what Finder has for different folders and similar to what iPhoto has for different collections.
Any way to make that happen?

You can upgrade your system to Mac OS X 10.8.x. Calendar 6.0 has a user selectable sidebar which displays calendars and mini-months.
