Cannot connect Facetime, Messages, iCloud Documents

Hello people! I'm having problems connecting my iCloud account to Facetime, Messages and iCloud Documents (I mean when I enter Pages, for example, It does not upload new files and doesn't download them the existing files either. But I can connect the same account in Preferences (Mail, Contacts, Calendars, Notes, Reminders) and iTunes, without a problem. Actually I have iMessage and Facetime working fine in my iPhone.

It says

Could not sign in. Please check your network connection and try again.

I've read lots of solutions but none had worked for me.

1) Restored /private/etc/hosts file

2) Deleted all the files with the name ubiquity, ubd, imagent, facetime, messages from Library

3) Deleted certificates and password from Keychain.

4) Changed my DNS to Google Public DNS (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4) in Preferences and my router.

5) Tried disabling router's firewall.

6) Opened all the ports in my firewall. (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4245)

7) Installed a fresh copy of ML 10.8.2

8) Tried to login after I killed Imagent process

9) Singing out and Signing in again on iCloud.

10) Tried changing from static to automatic timezone detection.

11) Tried using Wireless connection instead of ethernet (For timezone detection).

What else can I try?

Hi,

Check the Apple Menu > About this Mac and click the OS version number line twice (Once to Build Number then to Serial number)

Don't post the number but is it present.

If it is not present you cannot register for iMessages or FaceTime (Although these use different servers).

I am not sure why iCloud is not working.

Hi,

Any Apple Authorised Service Provider should be able to do as should any Apple Store itself.

There are rumoured to be two apps available that can do it for you.

Hi kauer.taylor,

By process of elimination you in fact have a different issue as you have a Serial number.

However I would check that this matches the one on the label as I have heard of bogus numbers being put on machines.

Which of these 11 items have you tried ?

1) Restored /private/etc/hosts file

2) Deleted all the files with the name ubiquity, ubd, imagent, facetime, messages from Library

3) Deleted certificates and password from Keychain.

4) Changed my DNS to Google Public DNS (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4) in Preferences and my router.

5) Tried disabling router's firewall.

6) Opened all the ports in my firewall. (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4245)

7) Installed a fresh copy of ML 10.8.2 Hold Off on this one just yet.

8) Tried to login after I killed Imagent process

9) Signing out and Signing in again on iCloud. This should be in the iMessage Account in Messages as it does not have to be the iCloud Apple ID you use.

10) Tried changing from static to automatic timezone detection.

11) Tried using Wireless connection instead of ethernet (For timezone detection).
