Ipad won't complete music download.

I have a problem,

My ipad will not complete a music download at all.

I have my iPhone and iPod linked fine to iTunes and they download ok.

My work iPhone is ok too but my new (daughter's old) ipad will not download any music. It gets right to the end the says item could not be downloaded at this time.

My apps and photos have sync'd across fine, it's just a music issue.

Help please.
