I've got a new laptop and to transfer my itunes library from my old computer to my new one I've used home sharing. But the question is can I delete all the music off my old computer?

I've got a new laptop and to transfer my itunes library from my old computer to my new one I've used home sharing. However the question iscan I delete my itunes off my old computer and therefore will I still have the library from my old computer on my new computer?

iPod touch, iOS 6.0.2, Windows set up on both computers

If the library on your new machine has all the songs in it then yes. Easy way to check is turn off home sharing and if your new computer has all the tracks then you can go ahead and delete it off the old computer.


Don't forget if you want all the play lists over as well


From the top menu File > Library > Export Library.


Then import on the new machine and you will still have all your playlists. They do not transfer via home sharing
