My macbook restarting suddenly

Hello there..This is Fai, I have a macbook pro 15" 2011, before two months I installed the Mountain Lion system, from that day it keeps restarting suddenly more than once a day and giving me this message "your computer restarted because of a problem. Press a key or wait a few seconds to continue starting up." with a grey background.I asked someone who knows in the mac system he said it is a "Kernel Panic" and he adviced me to format the system and reinstall it again..I just wanna make sure if this true before I do anything, and can I restore my files after the format by the Time Machine?Thank you

First open the Console application and then access the section called "System Diagnostic Reports." Then select one of the *.panic files and copy its contents to a reply here. This will help us determine what could be causing the kernel panic.

The panic reports listed will have a date in them, so be sure to select the most recent one as there might be many listed.

It looks like you&#x27;re having problems with the video card and video drivers, which is a bit of a bummer since these are soley apple-provided hardware and software packages. While you can try reinstalling OS X to clear out any corruption in the software that could be contributing to the problem, if it&#x27;s in hardware then you will likely have to get the system serviced.First be sure your system is fully backed up, and then try booting to the Recovery HD volume by holding Command-R at startup. Then run the OS X installer to reapply the system software to the system. This will keep your installed applications, user data, and settings, but replace the system software and drivers.

Reboot and test. This step probably won&#x27;t make any difference to the panics, but "Avast" is useless and you should get rid of it anyway.If there&#x27;s no improvement, make a "Genius" appointment at an Apple Store to have the machine tested.Print the first page of the panic report and bring it with you.Back up all data on the internal drive(s) before you hand over your computer to anyone. If privacy is a concern, erase the data partition(s) with the option to write zeros* (do this only if you have at least two complete, independent backups, and you know how to restore to an empty drive from any of them.) Don’t erase the recovery partition, if present.*An SSD doesn&#x27;t need to be zeroed.
