my itunes summary page has vanished and now I can only get to the music library page wtf?

You are running iTunes 11 I assume.

When the iPad is connected to your computer and while iTunes is running - From the iTunes menu at the top of the screen - go to View>Show Sidebar and then click on your iPad name in the sidebar under the devices heading. Then you will see the Summary Tab at the top of the window on the right along with info, apps, music, etc.

Then you will see this.
