You can set up "iCloud" on all of them and select there to sync your Documents. You must be running Mountain Lion on the MBA and iOS 6 on the iPhone and iPad in order to use iCloud:
Thank you. That is a good solution for documents like spreadsheets, word docs, etc. How about pictures and music where I need to handle about 50 GB of space?
And I'm concerned about documents that are produced in non iCloud enabled apps like PDFs. I was hoping to be able to share a folder on my MBA that I can see on my IPhone/iPad.
You can't directly access the iPad's filesystem for transfer purposes, but you can use iPhoto and iTunes to sync your music, photos, videos and other content to your Mac.
I believe you get 5 GB free from iCloud, but have to pay for additional space. Also, applications for Mac OS cannot be run on iDevices, so you would have to get the iOS versions (i.e. Pages for iOS, etc) as well as a PDF reader. Oh, and a photo editor. Personally, I do not store anything in the cloud (online server) since they can be hacked into; but I've read that dropbox does a good job, so you might want to check that out.
