Q: Is using iCloud like adding memory to your phone?

I wanted to know if purchasing iCloud storage is like adding memory to your iPhone?

    I'd say it's more like adding temporary storage (not memory). 

     

    Your "permanent" storage for music, photos and documents should be a computer.

     

    IClouds real strength is to sync critical information across devices in a seamless fashion.  Data is typically stored within the application.

     

    Other cloud storage applicatiosn like Dropbox. Skydrive allow a more more free format for what you store - none add memory though.

     

    Hope this helps
