Slideshow transfer question

I transferred a slideshow to imovie to transfer it to another computer via an external hd. How do I transfer it to iphoto on another computer so it will not be in movie mode. It will not play frame by frame or show the progression on the bottom pic by pic to skip ahead. I think there is someway to identify the file on the desktop and send it to iphoto that way. I just dropped it in iphoto because I forgot how to designate the file on the desktop. Therefore, it is still in movie form within iphoto, with the little movie camera in the bottom left corner.
