I just brought a rMBP 13, but I wasn't able to open the Mac App Store in China at all.
Mac info is OSX 10.8.2 and network is fine. After searching the website for help but nothing useful, I really upset by this situation.

Try using http://www.opendns.org/ for your DNS entries. Sometimes DNS entries of ISPs get corrupted, and you can bypass them.
Thx very much....but I could open the website and the itunes store....
After I tried typing following orders in Commonds, the problem solved:
rm ~/library/preferences/com.apple.appstore.plist
rm ~/library/preferences/com.apple.storeagent.plist
rm -rf ~/library/preferences/byhost/*
hope can hlep others
