I receive an error message stating that none of the downloaded updates could be installed.

Attempting to install the following:

  1. Mac OS X update 10.7.5
  2. iTunes 11.0.1
  3. Airport Utility 6.2
  4. Macbook Pro (mid 2012) Software update 10.7.4
  5. Remote Desktop Client update 3.6.2
  6. Flashback malware removal tool 1.0

I just bought this Macbook Pro today, brand new.

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities

Try ticking only "Mac OS X Update 10.7.5". Also, you can upgrade your Mac to OS X Mountain Lion for free > http://www.apple.com/osx/uptodate

I recommend you that you contact with Apple using the link above to have your free OS X Mountain Lion and, after installing 10.7.5 (or before), upgrade to OS X Mountain Lion, skipping OS X Lion
