Digital AV adapter W/iPad 3 6.0.1 will not display on TV.

The iPad displays a blue bar at the top of the screen and using the videos app it displays a message stating that the video is playing on the television. The Television is displaying a message stating that there is not signal avail. I've tried 3 HDMI cables on three different ports and ensured I have selected the correct input. I have done a hard reset with the iPad and am having the same issue.
