Is anyone having weak wifi signal on their iPod touch 4g?

I am currently using an iPod touch 4g which is on iOS 6.0.1. I've been having weak wifi signal since i updated it to iOS 6.0.1. Usually, i would be able to connect to the wifi router from my room which is on the second floor and my wifi router is on the first floor. Now, the furthest i can get away from my browser is around 1-2 ft. More than that will cause my iPod touch to lose it's wifi signal. Has anyone been getting this problem?

I think a few other users and reported that problem. Have you tried:

- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at

least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

- Power off and then back on the router

- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings

- iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections

- iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points

- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

- Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.
