New battery Macbook Pro 15 A1175

Hey,

I just bought a new battery for my Macbook Pro 15" A1211 (2006-2007).

I want to use it properly.

Do i have to reset setings (PRAM,…) to calibrate the battery?

I heard that the best way to use it is to discharge the battery once a month and then to use it normally?

Is it true?
