App Store shows 2 updates but won't load in iPhone5

I have the same issue and I tried all the things everyone has post and none of them has worked.

Iphone 5 ios 6.1 VZN

only solution i found that seemed to work is manually update them through your laptop.

it does update the software and remove the ugly red # dot...

- plugging the iphone in laptop

- go to itunes 11

- view > show sidebar (if its not shown already)

- click on "Apps" under Library on the left

- click "check for updates"

Only single solution will work...i.e.

Do hard reset that delete all settings and network...

But remember one thing after that when you are connected to wi-fi for phone set-up...put the right apple I'd at right place,that you use for App Store and iCloud.

There are two options below while putting your apple I'd...so be careful because many like me use two different email for App Store and iCloud.

I have the same problem here men, i now have 15 updates available, and whenever i access the app store, it won't load properly.. I'm not using the latest iOS yet but i began experiencing the problem about 2 weeks ago, even on the old iOs version this problem persist.. Tsk

Correct, it never did.

I faced the Same Issue. It is resolved by changing the language at Settings-->General-->International-Language. Change the Current Language ( I have changed it from British English to English). Then after a succesful change, Go to Appstore- Updates. The Issue is resolved. Now go back to your original Setting (if required)

This worked for me.

Go to purchased in App Store. Look for the app(s) with update beside it. Update it and the badge will go away.

Hey? I'm having the same issue.

I have a software update, but I'm scared that if I do it, it might turn out to be wrong. Because the last time when I updated the software, my ipad didn't work and I had to go to the shop where I bought it from and fix it again. So I really need help and advice. Help me out, please.

If you have the time and don't mind spending that time, what I did to fix the problem was just search each app I had and update them manually until the icon was gone. I'm not sure if it fixed the problem but it fixed it for now.
