Trying to play HBO's "The Wire" on my macbook, but it will not play. Says something about not supporting. Anyone have any ideas to help me to be able to view the DVDs on my computer? Thanks in advance

I took a screen shot but how do i put it on the forun? Also was wrong about what it says. It states "supported disc not available" but i have disc inserted. Really the screen shot is just black screen with that at the top.
Are other DVDs working? Could be a problem with the media itself it it's just one DVD or could be that your SuperDrive is failing.

Open Console, found in Utilities. This program is used for viewing all the different logs the Mac maintains for diagnostic purposes. On the left column, under System Log Queries, make sure All Messages is selected. Take note of the time at the last line on the bottom of the messages on the right.
Leaving Console running, insert your DVD and try to play it.
Now go back to Console and select all the messages that appeared as result of your action. Use the timestamp to position yourself in the list. Copy all those messages and post them back here for diagnosis.
