Airport not working

My Airport (Macbook Pro: Snow Leopard 10.6.8) is unable to connect. Clicking on the icon displays 'No Airport card installed'. It was working well till a day ago. Airport Utility does not work either. What seems to be the trouble and what's the solution?

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.8)

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities

First, try to reset the PRAM > http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1379?viewlocale=en_US Do the same with the SMC, although it may not work > http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3964

If it doesn't work, take the computer to an Apple Store to get the AirPort card repaired
