Why won't my "time since last charge" reset?

After recharging my iPad the "time since last charge" doesn't reset. It does show numbers and figures but it's an accumulative of this and previous charges. While I know this is not a major problem it's just a little annoying as this is my first iPad and would just like to see what the battery will do for each charge. Any ideas why or how to fix this?
