Following this, won't there be a UID mismatch?

Hi Applers🙂

This article focuses on basically moving the old user's folder to the network sharepoint, creating a new user to match the name of the old (moved) home folder, assign the newly created network user ownership of the moved home folder. But my question is what of the UID? won't they mismatch? Is there a UID associated with the folders and files coming over from the old user folder? Does this create problems as the new user is going about using his "aquired" Home folder?
