Using a 4G Sim in iPad 3rd Generation in UK?

I have an iPad (3rd Generation) Wi-Fi+Cellular currently using a 3G MicroSim Card. Although 4G LTE is not available on this model of iPad in the UK, if I insert an 'EE 4G LTE MicroSim Card' into this model of iPad, will it still work using EE 3G network?

iPad (3rd gen) Wi-Fi + Cellular, iOS 6.0.1

i not sure but iPad 3 4G network only work with US

but ipad 4 4g network work for all the world
