Ipod Touch Reset Problems

Hi.

Ipod Touch (3rd Gen I think) has been untouched for a couple of months since I got an iPhone 🙂.

Now trying to poer up and it won't. Can't do a reset either.

Press button to turn on and it shows the low battery symbol. Charged t it for 30 mins and plug it into PC and the iPod display shows the charing symbol then changes to the Apple symbol. This stays on for 20 - 30 secs and goes out. iPod does not show on iTunes. If I unplug the iPod and try to reset (home & power button) it just shows the low battery symbol again.

iPod worked perfectly before I stopped using it.

Any ideas ??

Thanks

Not Charge

- See:

iPod touch: Hardware troubleshooting

- Try another cable

- Try another charging source

- Inspect the dock connector for bend or missing contacts, foreign material, corroded contacts, broken, missing or cracked plastic.

- Make an appointment at the Genus Bar of an Apple store.

and

Try:

- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on

- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.

- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.
