I have an iPad 2, and I have a printer.

My printer is not wifi enabled. Can I print from my iPad?

Is there a cable or connector I can buy to connect them?

If you can't, and I need to buy a printer, do you have to buy an 'airprint' printer from the Apple website or can i buy any wifi enabled printer?

Many thanks!

The short answer is no, you can't. The long answer is that you can provided your printer is plugged into a computer that is switched on when you wish to print from your iPad.  There are applications you can install on your computer that will make a connected printer "air print activated" I have a Mac so I use an older copy of Air Print Activator (it used to be free, but isn't any more)  I hope this helps

Apple products only support AirPrint printers so these are two makes that I would recommend to you HP & Epson. I hope this helped you.
