why doesn't my iPhone capitalize "OK"?

Every time I type "ok" I have to manually capitalize both letters because the iPhone doesn't seem to know that this is supposed to be capitalized. Is this default or did I perhaps accidentally reject the correction at one point and now the iPhone remembers that?

That's default cause the word is spelled Okay. You can make a shortcut so 'ok' turns to 'OK' automatically. Settings > General > Keyboard > Shortcuts
