How to transfer photos from a CF card into a ipad mini without a computer? Thanks for your help

A lot of card readers require more power than is supplied to the kit - if you have a CF-only reader then you might have a better chance of it working (or try a powered reader).

If you've copied the photos onto the card yourself then you need to create a DCIM directory off the root of the card, with the photos underneath it, and the photo filenames need to be exactly 8 characters long (no spaces) plus the file extension i.e. in a similar format as if a camera had created/written them

MICgadget makes a CF card reader for the iPad. It's not approved by Apple, though.

You may want to consider using the USB to hook your camera directly up to your iPad. I have a old vivitar card reader that will work with CF cards, but it's a model that's not even made anymore.

It looks like what you need is CF to Lightening, so I'd search amazon. I've always had good luck there finding unique bits and pieces.

its possiblle, though you might need a powered USb hub in between, if the rader requires more power than the iPad can provide.

My Camersa usues CF cards. To transfer photos I connect my camera, with the card inside, to the Camera Connection Kit which is connected to my iPad. Once I turn the camera on I cal transfer photos from the card to the iPad.
