in Excel Freeze Column Header option has disappeared.

I have a General Ledgeer spreadsheet that has the freeze column option checked. I created a new one for the next year by copyiing the first and deleteing the old entries. The second one does not show the option to freeze column or row headers, in the table format button orothe menu Table. It is not even dimmed just isn't there. I have both sheets open and in the one they show and the other they dont. What happene to cause the table headder freeze option to disappear?
