Email from Picture Library does not send. Plain emails work OK. (iPhone 4S)

Hi,

I have a yahoo email account setup as the default email account on my iphone.

I can send/receive emails OK, however, when I wish to send a picture from the picture library or camera roll, the phone makes a whoosh noise, but the email never arrives at the destination.

I no longer have an outbox to see if there are any problems sending.

In addition to the Yahoo account, I have an exchange account for email, icloud for find my phone, and a subscribed calendar, although Yahoo is the default

I have tried:

Deleting and re-creating the yahoo email account (ensuring the default is set when re-creating).

Any other ideas?

iPhone 4S, iOS 6.0.2

If it is a big photo, a big file it could take up to 10 minutes to arrive at the other account.

When in an app like the photos app the whoosh sound occurs when you tap send. But a large photo will take some time to actually be sent depending on the size of the photo and the speed of the Internet connection.

Hi both,

Thanks for your suggestions so far!

Meant to add that I've tried (unsuccessfully):

1. Variety of image resizes (small to original) and variety of different images

2. Connectivity on fast wifi and slow 3G

I noticed that on uprgading to IOS6 that the Whoosh happened immediately after hitting send, where as prior to IOS 6 the whoosh would only sound after the email had sucessfully been received by the mail server.

Any other thoughts?

Have you tried restarting or resetting your iPhone?

Restart: Press On/Off button until the Slide to Power Off slider appears, select Slide to Power Off and, after the iPhone shuts down, then press the On/Off button until the Apple logo appears.

Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10 seconds). Ignore the "Slide to power off"
