Tried everything but Itunes still doesn't detect my Iphone 5
I take it you are using a brand new Lightning to USB cable that came with the phone? And that the USB port that you are using on the computer has been tested with something else to ensure it is working?

Hello,
Try:
-Holding the Wake/Sleep and Home buttons for at least 10 sec. or until Apple Logo appears
-Restarting your computer
-Make sure your connected to internet (as it may need it?)

You are indeed running at least 10.7? If your using a Mac (strangely) the 10.7 is only available for Systems running 10.6.8 or later. If your on windows you may need to simply download 11.01
Check your Start Menu; All programs and check Apple Software Update
Install the newest version.
If that doesnt work please respond back.

I've already tried each of your tips, i'm running the last version of Itunes for Windows (I'm on vista) and i indeed tested the usb port. Itunes still doesn't detect my Iphone 5, even thoug windows does. My Iphone can be detected by another computer (windows) and my Itunes doesn't detect an ipad with the old cable too.
Well, the only thing left to do is contact Apple.
They may be able to tell you whats wrong. They may give you a refurbished ipod or fix the problem with it.
Try contacting them, and see what happens!
