Can't update to iOS 6.1!

Hi all. I can't update to iOS 6.1! The update has downloaded, but every time I try to install it, I get the message saying: "Unable to verify update. iOS 6.1 failed verification because you are no longer connected to the Internet". I AM CONNECTED TO THE INTERNET! I freaking can't update now! If it helps, I'm trying to update on my iPod Touch 5th Generation, which is currently on iOS 6.0.1.

Thanks for any help.🙂

Yup, same here. First tried to update with it plugged into wall and it say I did not have internet connection...even though I was getting email and surfing on Safari...lol. So I plugged it into computer and downloaded the update through iTunes. At the end it said "The ipod touch could not be updated. This devise isn't eligible for the requested build" On my ipod it said I wasn't connected to the internet. I have the latest iPod touch gen. 5

Same here...

After failing to update via iTunes the Console log shows these entries:

28.01.13 21:58:22,743 iTunes[487]: AMDeviceCopyAuthInstallPreflightOptions (thread 0x115cc4000): device doesn't report a baseband snum

28.01.13 21:58:22,747 iTunes[487]: AMDeviceCopyAuthInstallPreflightOptions (thread 0x115cc4000): device reports an incompatible baseband key hash information

Well, I am not sure but I don't think the iPod touches have a baseband snum or key hash information.

Looks like the package that is being downloaded is for the iPhone (5) not for the iPod touch 5g...
