I am waiting for a replacement iphone 4s from apple.
Will this be a new one or a 2nd hand rebulit iphone?
people say that the refurbs are new ones but others say they are 2nd hand rebuilt?
iPhone 4S, iOS 6.0.1
oh and another thing. how long will the warrenty last on the replacement iphone? or will my warrenty just carry on from the old one?
Your replacement phone will most likely be a refurbished unit. The warranty will be for 90 days or the balance of your existing warranty, whichever is longer.
It will be a replacement from 'service stock'. It may be new, it may be re-manufactured. There should not be any way that you or the staff an an Apple Store can tell the difference. The only thing that can be identified is that the serial number identifies it as a service replacement.
The warranty for a replacement inherits the balance of the original warranty, or 90 days, whichever is longer.
