Do I have a superdrive?

Hello, I purchased a powerbook G4 12'' second hand and I don't know if it has a superdrive or combo drive. When I look up the model number it says combo, yet I burned a DVD. I also burned a cd-rw and it asked be the speed and it showed 24x, yet apple says only the combo drives can burn cds at 24x and superdrive can at 16x. How can i know?

The model number is powerbook6,4

or A1010.

I highly doubt it, but im guessing not Dual Layer?

You have a SuperDrive which can burn single layer DVDs, but not dual layer ones. The line 'DVD-Write' would be blank or absent if it was a combo drive, and the Write Strategies line would be different.

All Macs with an optical drive have got a SuperDrive, although it's not a dual layer SuperDrive

But when I look up the model numbers, it says it came stock with a combo. Has the drive been upgraded or is it the stock drive?

Nope. We have several PPC Macs with that read DVDs but cannot write to them. By definition a SuperDrive can write DVDs. Those like ours that are R/O for DVDs were called "Combo Drives."
