how do i delete books completely
my ibooks are taking up too much space. how do i completely erase them (so that they are not even under my "Purchased Books")?

You can't currently permanently delete any items from your purchase history (you can only delete them from your device and/or computer), all you can do is hide them so that they are less visible : hiding and unhiding. As you are on iOS 6 you won't be able to hide items directly on your iPad, but you should be able to do hide things via your computer's iTunes
