I currently have the MIDI out on an oxygen49 going into the MIDI in of a Korg padKontrol that is then going into my computer. Is there a way to assign each to its own channel strip or do I have to go into every EXS24 instrument I use and do it via midi note info?thanks

I should say, is there any way of using my padKontrol like my keyboard without having to use it in the layout as a keyboard? Some way to use it as drum pads and assign those drum pads to an exs channel strip?

Any particular reason why you have your 2 devices connected this way instead of each connected directly to the Mac?

Mostly because the USB on the Oxygen49 doesn't work. Secondarily because this way it takes up 1 USB slot and frees the other for the USB foot controller I'm lookin' to build.
