My sound is not working on my ipad 2

Do you, by any chance, have settings>general>use side switch to: set to mute?

The settings>sounds should also be set to on, I think.

P.S. If none of that helps, reset the iPad (hold the home and power buttons down until the Apple logo appears).

I have a brand new iPad2 and no headphones work ... sound come out when I play without headphones. I have used 3 different headphones and they all work on other devices. Do I have a lemon? Should I exchange for

a new one
