I am having an issue with my iPad 3, in that it now says, with all of my chargers, "Not Charging". I have finally gotten fed up, but my brother in law heard about some reports of battery issues. I am surprised that I would be having these issues, because I bought 3 new cables recently, and all of them have this issue.
I have gingerly plugged it into my 10W adapter, and it seems to be consistently charging for now, unlike before, where it would charge, and then as soon as it would power down, upon pressing the home button to reactivate it, it would say "Not Charging."
Would this be related to the issue some of you are having, or might it be the cable or, God forbid, the iPad itself? Is there any test that I can do myself to ascertain what is the source of the problem?
I am using iOS6.1 on an iPad 3.

ADDENDUM:
I have an iPhone 5 as well, and it seems to be very stable with battery life. I haven't had the issues that some people in this thread have had. I do hope this is the issue for me with the iPad, as I would reinstall if necessary.
