The latest update for Remote App this afternoon fixed it.

It's not fixed. Now December 2, 2013. Latest everything. Bug remains. After a few uses, Remote will no longer connect to iTunes. Doesn't matter whether it is configured to "Stay connected" or not. iOS 7, latest update on iPhone 5S and iPad 3rd. Mavericks, iTunes 11.1.3 (8). Can't be more up to date as I write this. Worked fine for five years, then iOS 7 came out and Remote broke. All updates to Remote since then have fixed other bugs but not the connection bug. Bummer. I liked Remote, but it is now an unreliable tool, and not the kind of reminder of buggy technology that I want while relaxing in the evening. Please fix it.

I updated Remote on my iphone and iPad mini after ios7 came out and they both stopped connecting. I kept the old Remote App on my iPad 3 and no problem. It's obviously the new remote app that's a problem. Very annoying.
