Then download it from the app store
apple maps has its own benefits and forsure its flaws but still you can download the google map app which google has developed for ios and use that
So very late to the party.
I find Apple's Maps more user friendly and easier to program than the $2000 option in my 2013 automobile. I tell Siri to go to XYZ, and it gets plots out a route, and uses the Bluetooth over my cars speakers to tell me how to do it. My only issues are that Apples Maps has fewer POI's than my car's Nav system, and, of course, my car doesn't depend on the a cellular signal.
My point is that to each his own. I don't like Google Map's new interface. In fact, it's so bad, I just deleted it from my iPhone, knowing that between my Garmin app (which has 2 GB of maps on my iPhone), my cars Nav system and my iPhone Maps app, I'm not going to get lost. 🙂
Anyone that believes Apple Maps are superior must be an employee of Apple. With NO Google Maps the Ipad continues to be an inferior tablet.

People whose ability to defend their opinions is limited to insulting those who disagree with them don't contribute much to the discussion. Throughout life, you'll find that there are people who disagree with you. Either learn to discuss your disgreements on merits and fact or politely excuse yourself from the discussion.
Best of luck.
Frankly, I find Apple Maps 'very useful' and improving all the time. I haven't had a location error for some time.

I guess there aren't any computer users on this Apple Forum. Only Fan Boys who prefer to stick up for an inferior product. The only good news is that Apple share is shrinking for Android and Google dominance. PS Flash is still alive and thriving on the Android system. .
And again with the ad hominem attacks? They're getting tedious. Learn to argue your opinions on its merits.
"Good news?" Hmm, this doesn't sound like an objective analysis to me.

Please don't feed the troll.
I will leave you all to enjoy your daily dose of Kool Aid.
Yeah, please go and repair your hacked and virus laden Android thing.

You learn to just ignore the trolls around here. I enjoy the fact that my iMac, iPad and iPhone all link together in one ecosystem without any problems. I may be one of the few out there, but I find Apple Maps plus Siri to be one of the best solutions to navigations as long as you're in a 4G area. Rural areas, of course, you need an app with all the maps downloaded into your iPhone (or a stand alone GPS system).
Have you found Waze any good?
