Will iOS 6.1 fix battery issues?

10 hours ago I updated my iphone 5 to 6.1 and had 55% after update. With 3G and Wifi off I wake up now and it shows 9% without any usage. I think it's complete fail.

With any battery life iphone 5 is still twice better than any samsung device.

Upgraded this mornig. all worked fine for about 30min then "no service". have to reset the device and this fixes it for another 30min then no serivce again....when will apple fix this??

Well, I upgraded my AT&T iPhone 5 last night. Started this morning with a fully charged battery and now, 4.5 hours after unplugging, and 1.5 hours of that being with the screen on (i.e. usage), the battery meter is saying I still have 93% remaining. That's a little better than what I was getting before the upgrade.

I have to admit that my battery life has definitely been fixed with ios 6.1 on my iphone 5!

I'm using ipad mini 3g+wifi.

I already update f/w from 6.0.2 to 6.1 since last night and test use on today.

But battery issued was not cleared & fixed.

my battery life is completely WORSE since the update. I was at 73% after 2 hr and 19 min without use. Burning battery big time....

After updating to iOS6.1, battery on my iphone5 is draining like crazy. It is getting discharged from 100% to 10% in 6-8 hours (with no usuage). iOS6.1 has created more problems than it has fixed.

The ones with problem, have they tried restoring there phone using iTunes? I have read that will resolve the problem.

The battery on my 5 was brutal before the update and now it is pathetic. When is a phone useless - when it is an iPhone 5. Turned off all notifications, vibrate, brightness etc. lucky to get 18 hours on standby. Joke

My Iphone 5 is not working as wonderfully previous to this 6.1 update. The battery is draining very fast using LTE and even Wifi or doing nothing by night with airplane mode. I also suspect that usage statistics doesn't work as before that it really showed my use. It is impossible that I have 17h 48 minutes of standby and 13h 30 minutes of usage in 19 hours!!! My battery is now at 1%. Previously to this update I was really at standby for more than 2 days... I want to recover my Iphone before this awful update!

Im trying a restore to see if that works.

iOS 6.1 has definitely fixed my battery problems. Befor d update I was like losing almost 2% every 3-4 mins. But after d update I can easily pack in 2 days without having the iPhone to charge. I use my iPhone for almost 6-8 hrs a day. Try a restore
