what can I do When iTune keeps stating "The software for the iPad was corrupted during download and my iPad is in recoovery mode

I don't Know what to do since IOS 6.1 is corrupted during the download.

I went to restore my iPad and itunes states "The software for the iPad was corrupted during download."

I can't get my iPad to work now that I have this problem.

Is anyone else getting this message when they download IOS 6.1 through iTunes? If so,

Can you please tell me what to do to download the software so I can get my iPad up and running?

Do I have to wait for another update from apple to come out to correct this issue?

I am having the same problem. keep getting stuck at the file being corrupt.

Had the same problem. Called Apple support. They claimed it could be a network problem since I did the download over wifi. They told me to try again using Itunes. When that didn't work, they said it was a corrupted itunes and I reinstalled it. During the reinstall, I tried it on another computer and it still did not work. After reinstalling itunes, I still got the corrupt message. Apple told me to go to my local Apple store and try their network. I was told that would do the trick. Guess what? It did not restore on the Apple network and the "Genius" tech person said that this error was similar to the windows "blue screen of death" and they could not repair it. Since the Ipad 2 was out of warranty, they offered me a replacement for $249 (no thanks) and said it was just one of those things. If anybody finds a fix, please let me know. I guess the lesson learned is NEVER download a new update the first day.

Just came from the Apple store where they tried to Restore and got the corrupt error message. They replaced my Ipad (it was under warranty - thank goodness) and they the problem had nothing to do with the update. Their explanation was that the software must have been corrupt to begin with and that's why it wouldn't allow the update. I have no idea what the truth is in all this. They were not apologetic at all and did not seem to care when I expressed my concern about the fact I would have to buy a new one if the warranty had expired. He claimed I was the first case he had of this since the update. I find that hard to believe based on so many comments on the Internet.

The Apple store confirmed today that the file was corrupt from the beginning.

I was told by someone that you can find the IOS 6.1 software on the Internet. Just download it and that should do the trick. The apple team told me there is nothing they can do, so I suggest just go online. That is the best alternative than waiting for the support team to contact you.
