Thunderbolt MagSafe Connector to Mac Air

I just bought a Thunderbolt display and when I got it home I found that the MagSafe power connector is not compatable with my mid 2012 MacBook Air. What are my options?

To make the MagSafe power connector of the Thunderbolt Display compatible with your MacBook Air, you need the MagSafe to MagSafe 2 adapter

There should be a

MagSafe to MagSafe 2 adapter

with the TB display.
